Job Description / Duties
Do you want to make a difference in the current housing affordability crisis’s devastating effects on the Lower Mainland’s most vulnerable? In cooperation with the Director of Housing, the Housing Manager leads UGM’s response to this crisis, through operational and strategic direction of UGM’s Housing, and through expansion of UGM’s abstinence-based housing and community. The Housing Manager leads staffing, budget, planning, and strategic direction for UGM housing, and directly supervises tenant relations staff.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a housing related field. Experience in recovery-based, abstinence-based housing and a Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in theological studies/Christian Leadership is an asset. You may encounter clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.

Qualifications / Required Skills
If you are considering employment with UGM for this position, you must have a:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a housing-related field. Experience in recovery-based, abstinence-based, or “dry” housing is an asset
• be legally entitled to work in Canada
• be able to demonstrate compatibility with our Core Values
• agree with our Statement of Faith
• provide a current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector search
• possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and submit a current driver’s abstract.
