2024-25 Point-in-Time Homeless Counts
From October 2024 through April 2025, there were thirty-two Point-in-Time Homelessness Counts across BC. These Counts are a community-level measure of sheltered and unsheltered homelessness, providing a 24-hour snapshot of the minimum number of people experiencing homelessness in a community, collecting demographic information and gathering details about their experience of being unhoused.
The 2024-2025 Report on Homeless Counts in B.C. summarizes findings from Point-in-Time (PiT) Homeless Counts conducted in communities across British Columbia in 2024 and 2025. It provides important baseline information on the estimated number, key demographic characteristics, and service provision needs of people experiencing homelessness in B.C. communities. The report highlights trends in sheltered and unsheltered homelessness, the ongoing overrepresentation of Indigenous Peoples among those experiencing homelessness, and the growing complexity of health, housing, and support needs across the province.

Additionally, in fall 2025, some Federally-funded communities conducted Enumerations (estimates of the number of people experiencing homelessness within a community on a single night, without demographic or experiential information). This data is not included in the 2024-2025 Report on Homeless Counts in B.C..
