HSABC Webinar: Tenancy Law, Evictions, and Housing Advocacy in Rural and Remote Settings

June 18, 2024, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

In this session, Paul looks at the most common tenancy issues happening in law, now, from a rural and remote settings perspective. Anyone doing Tenant Advocacy work, especially in a small city, town, or remote region should find this helpful.
Paul has worked in the field for seven years in both Prince Rupert and Kitimat and is often found to be in dialogue with various media outlets throughout the Province, in regards to Tenancy matters.

Instructor: Paul Legace is the coordinator and poverty law advocate at the Prince Rupert Unemployment Action Centre. Paul also has extensive experience with the Manufactured Home Parks Tenancy Act, as he advised on and contributed to the writing of the act. We’ve had a ton of questions from front line workers and housing advocates on the topic of tenancy and how it applies to smaller cities and towns, as there are different skills and resources available, and this is Paul’s specialty, as he’s always worked in rural and remote communities.
