HSABC Webinar: Lessons from BC’s Emergency Response Centers: Statistics, Stories and Practical tools.

In this webinar, we will discuss the data that has been collected during the COVID-19 pandemic with regards to emergency and temporary housing, how this material has been gathered, and what it could mean for future planning and funding. We will also be hearing from panelists on their experiences with ERCs this year and ongoing practical tips and skills for front-line workers in this context.

Presenters:
Rebecca Siggner, BC Housing Research Centre, Danielle Scott, BC Housing
Randene Wejr with Turning Points Collaborative Society and Lee Fox from the Lookout Society will be giving their front-line stories and experiences of running these shelters and settings and what they've learned.
Randene Wejr has been working in the non-profit world as an ED or Regional Director for almost 20 years. She has a Master’s in Social Work and an MBA both of which focused on marginalized populations and non-profit leadership. Randene feels very fortunate to be working as the ED for Turning Points Collaborative and being part of a very skilled and passionate team that cares very deeply about the clients they serve. Randene lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley on a rural acreage with her partner and majestic English mastiffs!
