Processing Grief and Loss in the Context of Homelessness

July 17, 2025, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

In partnership with BCCPC and the Kelowna Homelessness Research Collaborative (KHRC), this webinar will delve into the topic of grief and how to process it, for both staff in shelter settings and clients experiencing homelessness.

BCCPC began its research into grief and bereavement supports in BC, we soon discovered that there was a particular population about which there had been very little inquiry: people experiencing homelessness. As the calendar rolled over into 2024, two new initiatives are in progress to learn more about how this population experiences bereavement and how we can build grief and bereavement literacy among those who support this population.
