Job Description / Duties

Do you want to make a positive difference in the current housing affordability crisis’s devastating effects on the Lower Mainland’s most vulnerable? Are you passionate about providing trauma-informed and women-centered practical and pastoral care to women in an abstinence -based transitional housing community? Are you a mature Christian leader who enjoys and is gifted with innovation, developing others, and planning and organizing? If so, we have a role that will be of interest to you! You will play a key role in the discernment of vision for Sanctuary housing, nurturing healthy organizational culture and designing ministry programs that utilize best practices and foster effective outcomes. You will oversee the housing operations, and will develop and implement a comprehensive housing strategy as well as community- building programming. If you have related post-secondary education, experience in a housing-related field, including in a recovery-based and abstinence-based model, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid class 5 driver’s license, this could be a great fit.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
