Job Description / Duties

Do you have strong organization skills, work well in a team, and work effectively in difficult situations? Our Maintenance and Custodial workers are responsible for upkeep of all planters and grounds at UGM locations in Metro Vancouver and the City of Mission. In this position, you will also perform minor building repairs and maintenance of any of UGM’s facilities and will sometimes fill Custodial shifts on an as-required basis. The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of three years’ recent related experience, and is able to inspect, assess, and determine repair requirements, and perform minor repairs. Basic computer skills and basic carpentry skills are necessary to be successful in this position.
You may come into contact with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
The starting wage for this position is $ 19.50 per hour.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
