IT Summer Technician – Canada Summer Jobs New Westminster, BC

Hours, Days of Work and Salary: Will work Monday to Friday. Shift start times will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Shifts are 8 hours in length with 1 hour break, for a total of 35 hours per week. Days of rest shall be consecutive. Schedule may change with two weeks’ notice. The position is temporary and for 8 weeks. The salary is $18.25 per hour.

Job Duties:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology team.
• Assist with technology set up, maintenance, and support for new and existing users.
• Resolve day-to-day helpdesk requests from users.
• Assist with ongoing and new projects, including computer, server, networking, and application deployments.
• Various other IT tasks to grow your knowledge in the field of Information Technology.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Valid OFA 1 First Aid Training Certificate is an asset
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Skills Training is an asset
• Must pass a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
• Must be within the ages of 15-30 to qualify

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to manage high workload with multiple priorities
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills
