Hours, Days of Work and Salary: Will work Monday to Friday (negotiable). Shift start times will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Shifts are 8 hours in length with 1 hour break, for a total of 35 hours per week. Days of rest shall be consecutive. Schedule may change with two weeks’ notice. The position is temporary and for 08 weeks.

Job Duties:

• Provide assistance, support and basic skill training to clients while encouraging independence, self-responsibility and healthiest lifestyle
• Assist support workers with the intake of clients, provide services of support, assessment, liaising, isolate problems, develop service plans, crisis intervention, and generally ensure that basic needs are met
• Assist with paper work and statistical data
• Other duties as required

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Enrollment in a Social Work, Mental Health or Criminal Justice program is preferred
• Must have current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Must have two doses of COVID 19 Vaccine
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Skills Training is an asset
• Must pass a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
• Must be within the ages of 19-30 to qualify

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to manage high workload with multiple priorities
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
