Better Together Education Series - Poverty and Trauma
January 23 - 25, 2024
Learn how to make your neighbourhood better together!
We invite community members—including housed and unhoused residents, business owners, and service providers—to join us for free education and training sessions to better understand issues related to poverty, unsheltered homelessness, and mental health.
Better Together Education sessions focus on a different topic each month. The same content is being provided at three different locations each month—so register for the session closest to you.
Cost: Free
Times: 6:30 – 8:30 for all sessions/locations
Registration required as space is limited. Light refreshments will be provided.
Poverty and Trauma - January 2024
Learn about how poverty and trauma intersect with aspects of daily life, and how they are involved in experiences of homelessness. Participants will learn how to define key terms, develop an understanding of common misconceptions and realities, and learn about some ways to help in their communities.
