Human Trafficking: More Than Meets the Eye
This workshop is for those who would like to learn more about human trafficking and enhance their skills to support trafficked persons. The session describes what human trafficking is; examines societal understandings of human trafficking; explores the prevalence of human trafficking locally and globally; assesses mainstream anti-trafficking approaches to determine their effectiveness. Participants will acquire critical thinking tools to separate fact from fiction and ensure they respond to human trafficking via an informed, ethical, ‘do no harm’ approach.
