Job Description / Duties

The Opportunity
Do you enjoy being flexible and service-oriented, assisting others in different and unique ways? Are you excited by the possibility of providing strength-based and trauma-informed support to individual tenants and families? Are you able to build rapport easily with others and passionate about fostering a climate of inclusion, grace, and forgiveness? If so, this might be a great fit! In this position you will assist in ensuring a safe hygienic, and supportive environment for tenants as they navigate living independently. This involves assisting with referrals, childminding, attending appointments, program activities, and assistance with daily routines. You will also have opportunities to use your excellent communication and teamwork skills to help organize and participate in program activities, offering ideas and resources when appropriate. If you have a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus, a diploma or certificate in human sciences, 2 years of related experience in abstinence-based housing, and a class 5 driver’s license, we want to hear from you!
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
This is a permanent, full-time position. This position will be a part of a team within a 24-hour facility, with a weekly schedule of 1-9pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and 8am-4pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
