Job Description / Duties

The Opportunity
Are you a mature Christian leader who models Christ in word and deed? Are you passionate about further developing trauma-informed, non-judgmental, woman-centred programming to women in the Downtown Eastside? Do you have strong teamwork and leadership skills in order to oversee all positions in the supportive recovery program, including intake, case management, social work, and participant spiritual care and activity programming? If so, we want to hear from you! You will work closely with the Manager and Care Team Supervisor to ensure excellent team coordination and participant care. You will also use your considerable knowledge and/or experience with Child Protection Services, including Child, Family, and Community Service Act, MCFD, and VACFSS, to work collaboratively with these—and other—social services, ensuring appropriate and constant wraparound participant care. With your extensive education and experience with therapeutic programming and best practices, you will have a primary voice speaking into program development and evaluation. If you have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ; at least 3 years of related work experience, including exceptional supervisory expertise; a degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or Counselling; and a class 5 (a class 4 is even better) driver’s license, this could be a great fit!

You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
This is a permanent, full-time position. For a copy of the full job description, please visit our website.
