Job Description / Duties

The Opportunity
Are you a great driver and love connecting with all kinds of people? Have you ever imagined that these two skills put together could be used to change lives? Sounds dramatic but that’s exactly what our Thrift Store Driver and Donation Ambassador does. Along with an assistant, you would daily take the UGM truck and deliver or pick up donations from our amazing donors (both individual and corporate). You’d connect with the donors, form relationships and help promote the work of UGM as you pick up and deliver. Proceeds from selling the donations at the Thrift Store go directly into the UGM programs to help our neighbours overcome poverty, homelessness and addiction.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
The starting wage for this position is 19.50 per hour.
This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) position. For a copy of the full job description, please visit our website at ugm.ca.
