 system.\n\n-- Instructors: Carol Petkau and TJ Suter  --\n\nInstructor 
 Bios: \n\nCarol Petkau Carol Paetkau is an experienced Executive Direc
 tor who has led the Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association since 1999, h
 elping build a wide range of community-based programs addressing service
  gaps for people with acquired brain injuries across the Fraser Valley. 
 With over 20 years in non-profit leadership and a Bachelor of Arts (Adva
 nced) in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan, she brings stro
 ng expertise in organizational management, resource development, and adv
 ocacy. Motivated by both professional commitment and lived experience as
  a parent of a child with a rare neurological disorder, Carol has contri
 buted to policy and systems change at local, provincial, and national le
 vels and currently serves on several advisory bodies, including the ICBC
  Disability Advisory Group and the Canadian Brain Injury Network Council
 .\n\nTJ Suter, a 35 year survivor of ABI brings personal insight to her 
 role as Member Services Coordinator at Brain Resource, Advocacy & Inform
 ation Network. She initiated the organization in 1999 in order to assist
  survivors of Brain Injury, their family members, friends and caregivers
  within the Lower Mainland region.  She received the very first Courage
  to Come Back Award for Physical Rehabilitation and more recently, Frase
 r Health Acquired Brain Injury Services’ Outstanding Service Award.  
 She combines her Degree in Business Management from Okanagan College & C
 ommunity Social Service Diploma from Douglas College to assist in managi
 ng B.R.A.I.N. and other work in the field of Community Social Services, 
 but uses her passion and personal insight to provide diligent service to
  Survivors, their family members, friends and caregivers.\n\n
