SUMMARY:Webinar: Self Care: Resilience in Practice with Dr Hillary McBrid
 e
DESCRIPTION:-- Webinar Description:  --\n\nSelf Care has been touted as
an antidote to burn out and sustainable care giving. But as the word be
comes more mainstream, what does it actually mean if it's not just bubbl
e baths and lighting a candle? How do we understand how to care for ours
elves, what that actually means and looks like, and the barriers?\n\nIn
this workshop we will address the history of self care as a practice and
movement before moving into exploring our relationships with ourselves,
and engaging in experiential practices to explore how to tend to and no
urish ourselves in ways which support our healthy and long term care gi
ving roles. The pace of the session will be set by group participation,
and this will take the format of a workshop not a webinar to allow for
group interaction and discussion. \n\nNo matter whether you've done dec
ades of self care work and want to revitalize your practices, or you're
new to understanding how to engage in self care in ways which are meanin
gful and therapeutic, this workshop is for you. \n\n**Please know that
this workshop is interactive and experiential: you will get out of it as
much as you are able to put in. Meaningful participation will yield a m
ore meaningful experience. Please come ready to participate and engage i
n the duration of the session.**\n\nInstructor Bio: Hillary L. McBride
