 urnout, compassion fatigue, empathy fatigue and vicarious trauma and rev
 iew specific tools for dealing with symptoms in order to build resilienc
 y. This session also examines ways to manage the negative impact that co
 me with working in the social service field in order to take care of you
 rself and to thrive.\n\n \n\nAmanda Thiessen is a social worker, educat
 or, and coach who works with Human Service Organizations to help employe
 es and cultures thrive. Amanda believes creating just social change is i
 ntimately linked to inclusive, collaborative, effective and empowered or
 ganizational systems, people and cultures. Amanda has worked in the char
 ity sector for over 20 years. She is a certified organizational coach, h
 olds a Master of Arts degree in Theology, and is a registered social wor
 ker in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Currently she is comple
 ting a Master of Social Worker in Leadership in Human Services at the Un
 iversity of Calgary.\n
