 Mawer is a Registered Nurse and Owner/ Co-Founder of Westside Harm Reduc
 tion, she has been an activist for the human rights and public health of
  people who use drugs for more than a decade. Hailey has a passion for e
 vidence-based care and dismantling problematic policies, practices and s
 tructural stigma through; education, program development and consulting 
 with organizations in the development and implementation of harm reducti
 on frameworks, policies and quality improvement initiatives.\n\nShe prov
 ides both in person and virtual learning opportunities across both Alber
 ta and B.C. Hailey started her nursing career in sexual health and playe
 d a founding role in the opening and development of the first Sexual Hea
 lth clinic, providing health services to Maskwacis, Treaty 6. Since then
 , Hailey has been working tirelessly to build capacity, develop policies
 , frameworks and implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce mor
 tality rates associated with the drug poisoning crisis and systemic necr
 opolitics that impact the most vulnerable.\n\nRecently, after implementi
 ng quality improvement initiatives an organization saw a 96% reduction i
 n overdoses/drug poisonings. As a clinician, educator, consultant, and a
 dvocate with a passion for reducing social and institutional inequities,
  she aims to bridge gaps in knowledge related to sex, drugs, and harm re
 duction through the provision of culturally safe and evidence-based serv
 ices.
