DESCRIPTION:In this session, Paul draws on his years of experience and im
 parts tips, tricks and tools that are helpful in getting past the 2-year
  hump in advocacy roles. He discusses how to avoid burnout, how to keep 
 at it, and the philosophy of advocacy. Paul also touches on how to work 
 with difficult clients that really need help, how to say no to a client,
  getting to the heart of the issue and how to do well within an agency.\
 n\nPaul Lagace is the Coordinator and Legal Advocate for the Prince Rupe
 rt Unemployed Action Centre. In this session, He looks at the most commo
 n poverty-law issues happening, now, from a rural and remote settings pe
 rspective.\n\nAnyone especially doing poverty-law advocacy work in a sma
 ll city or town, or remote region should find this helpful. Paul has wor
 ked in the field for seven years in both Prince Rupert and Kitimat and i
 s often found to be in dialogue with various media outlets throughout th
 e Province, in regards to Tenancy matters.
