SUMMARY:Webinar: Personal Safety in Practice: Navigating Risk, Racism, an
 d Violence in Frontline Work
DESCRIPTION:-- Webinar Description: --\n\nFrontline and outreach workers
regularly navigate complex and unpredictable environments where personal
safety is shaped not only by immediate physical risks, but also by syst
emic factors such as racism, misogyny, and other forms of structural vio
lence. This workshop offers a practical, grounded approach to understand
ing and responding to these realities in day-to-day work. Participants w
ill build skills in recognizing early warning signs, assessing risk in d
ynamic situations, and implementing preventative safety strategies that
are both effective and contextually responsive. The session also creates
space to examine how identity and power impact safety, and how workers
can make informed decisions that prioritize both personal well-being and
ethical, client-centred care. Through real-world scenarios and applied
strategies, this training equips participants with tools to enhance situ
ational awareness, set boundaries, de-escalate potential conflict, and n
avigate challenging interactions with greater confidence.\n\n-- Instruct
