 ups who experience marginalization due to their gender or gender identit
 y including women, Two Spirit, gender-diverse, non-binary and trans peop
 le.\n\nAll of these valued community members are statistically at higher
  risk for violence and safety concerns in frontline settings and this pr
 esentation is built on the foundation that whether you are assigned fema
 le at birth or self-identify as a woman, your identity is valued, accept
 ed and respected.\n\n-- Instructor: Randene Wejr --\n\nInstructor Bio: 
 Randene has been the Executive Director of Turning Points since 2017. Un
 der her leadership, the organization has grown tremendously in staff, pr
 ograms offered, geographical service area and clients served. Randene is
  deeply committed to collaboration and community building and has create
 d strong connections in new communities. As such, she sits on numerous c
 ommunity committees and working groups spanning several communities, min
 istries, and multiple layers of government. For the past twenty-two year
 s, Randene has worked in roles supporting and championing marginalized i
 ndividuals within Federal and Provincial governments and non-profit orga
 nizations. She’s worked as an executive director for several organizat
 ions in Canada and internationally (India). She worked in Northern BC fo
 r fifteen years, and during that time, she had the opportunity to work a
 nd develop relationships with numerous diverse communities. Randene has 
 a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Business Administration.
  Both degrees focused on non-profit leadership; additionally, She’s be
 en accepted into the prestigious Wharton School of Business executive le
 adership program. Randene describes her experience growing up in Enderby
  as a member of the LGTBQ2S+ community and tragically losing a loved one
  to suicide as experiences that have changed her forever. She has a prof
 ound personal understanding of trauma, mental unwellness, and marginaliz
 ation as a result.\n\n
