Shelters are supporting more older adults, and their needs can be different from those of younger shelter guests. Mobility issues, chronic health conditions, hearing or vision loss, memory changes, medication, accessibility, and difficulty getting around can all affect someone’s experience in shelter.  This webinar looks at what frontline workers need to know when supporting seniors in shelter settings. We’ll talk about common changes that come with aging, how homelessness can make existing health and mobility issues worse, and practical ways to support older adults day to day.
