Webinar: Psychological Coping: Improving and Maintaining Your Mental Health in Essential Work
February 3, 2027, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Webinar Description:
Working in high-stress environments requires more than resilience—it requires practical tools for navigating uncertainty, risk, and emotional impact. This course focuses on concrete strategies to support wellbeing for both frontline workers and those in supervisory or management roles.
Participants will explore practical approaches for coping with uncertainty, clarifying what is and is not within their control, distinguishing perceived risk from actual risk, and applying tools such as values-based decision-making and radical acceptance where appropriate. The course also addresses strategies for individuals who are already managing anxiety, trauma, or other mental health challenges, with an emphasis on realistic, compassionate, and sustainable practices.
For managers and supervisors, the course offers guidance on how to better support staff through clear communication, increasing workers’ sense of control, creating space for debriefing and processing difficult events, and recognizing that people cope and recover in different ways.
This course is designed to strengthen individual and team capacity in high-pressure settings by providing practical, adaptable tools that can be applied immediately in day-to-day work.
