 ucial role in individual practice. This webinar will discuss neurotransm
 itters and their function in over amping and psychosis. Later in the pre
 sentation, we will dive into what happens to the brain when an individua
 l stops using methamphetamines. Science plays a vital role in how we, as
  front-line workers, respond to methamphetamine over amping and psychosi
 s; understanding these body reactions will help develop a greater unders

 ey Mawer --\n\nInstructor Bio: Hailey Mawer is a Registered Nurse and O
 wner/ Co-Founder of Westside Harm Reduction; she has been an activist fo
 r the human rights and public health of people who use drugs for over a 
 decade. Hailey has a passion for evidence-based care and dismantling pro
 blematic policies, practices and structural stigma through; education, p
 rogram development and consulting with organizations in developing and i
 mplementing harm reduction frameworks, policies and quality improvement 
 initiatives. She provides both in-person and virtual learning opportunit
 ies across both Alberta and B.C. As a clinician, educator, consultant, a
 nd advocate with a passion for reducing social and institutional inequit
 ies, she aims to bridge gaps in knowledge related to sex, drugs, and har
 m reduction through the provision of culturally safe and evidence-based 
 services.\n\n
