DESCRIPTION:HSABC’s Professional Workplace Boundaries for the Homelessn
 ess Sector webinar reviews the importance and purpose of workplace bound
 aries when providing services to homeless and at-risk populations. The c
 hallenges of setting and maintaining effective workplace boundaries are 
 explored and specific boundary issues such as; personal disclosure of in
 formation to clients from staff, client-staff relationships outside of w
 ork, dual relationships, gift-giving and gift-receiving, and conflicts o
 f interest are discussed. This webinar is an interactive learning experi
 ence where participants are encouraged to ask questions\n\n \n\nInstruc
 tor: Katherine Aubrey \n\nKatherine has over 20 years of experience wor
 king with people who have faced trauma, addictions, mental health issues
  and risk for homelessness. Her varied, frontline work experience ranges
  from in-reach prison work, group therapy, parole supervision, child & y
 outh care work and addictions and mental health counselling. She has bee
 n an instructor with Homelessness Services Association of BC (formerly S
 helternet BC) for 14 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Crimino
 logy and Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with spe
 cialization in Mental Health Counselling.
