SUMMARY:HSABC Webinar: Intimate Partner Violence and Brain Injury 
DESCRIPTION:The Cridge Centre for the Family has been serving vulnerable 
 women impacted by intimate partner violence (IPV) for 29 years. Likewise
 , we have been supporting survivors of traumatic brain injury (BI) for 3
 0 years. With the combined expertise of these 2 areas, the Cridge is ded
 icated to addressing the issue and needs of women impacted by both IPV a
 nd BI. According to statistics, up to 90% of women who have been in a vi
 olent relationship have received at least one brain injury at the hand o
 f their partner. Every year, most of the approximated 250,00 Canadian wo
 men who have received an IPV-related BI are living undiagnosed and unsup
 ported in our community. This webinar looks to share the alarming statis
 tics, offer brain injury and IPV recognition and awareness tools, and pr
 ovide practical strategies and approaches for front-line workers support
 ing women living with a brain injury as a result of IPV.\n\nInstructor: 
 Tori Dach \n\nTori (Victoria) Dach is the Community Program Coordinator
  at The Cridge Centre for the Family Brain Injury Services in Victoria B
 C. She was born and raised an islander, and loves family time with her h
 usband and kids on the West Coast. In her work with The Cridge, and as C
 hair on the CGB Centre for Traumatic Life Losses Board of Directors, she
  is passionately involved in some innovative projects including service 
 delivery development and implementation in the field of Intimate Partner
  Violence and Brain Injury, as well as advocacy and awareness around the
  intersections of mental health, addictions and brain injury.\n\n \n\n-
