DESCRIPTION:Calling all members who have completed the full four Introduc
 tion to Decolonization series workshops. \n\nIf you've missed out on wo
 rkshops 5+6 we are offering them together as a full-day workshop with Rh
 iannon and Andrea. \n\nCommunications \n\nIn this workshop, participan
 ts will learn more about how English, white supremacy, and colonization 
 have\nimpacted Indigenous languages, the importance of keeping language 
 whole, and a reminder that Indigenous\nlanguages are living languages. T
 his workshop builds off of the communication education discussed in our 
 Level\n\nLand Acknowledgement\n\nIn this Level 2 workshop, we tackle the
  discourse around land acknowledgements. Participants will dissect\nexis
 ting land acknowledgements, learn about Indigenous-land relations, and l
 earn the difference between\nperformative and impactful acknowledgements
 . By the end of this workshop, each participant will have created a\nuni
 que, impactful land acknowledgement.\n\n \n\n \n\nBios: Rhiannon Benne
 tt and Andrea Hilder\n\nRhiannon Bennett, the co-founder and CEO, is a r
 enowned speaker known for her ability to engage and provoke thoughtful d
 ialogue. With over 20 years of experience in decolonization work with In
 digenous youth and families, she is committed to building stronger relat
 ionships and advocating for equity.\n\nAndrea Hilder, the co-founder and
  CFO, brings a unique perspective as a non-Indigenous parent of an Indig
 enous child. With a background in education and community support, she l
 everages her advantages to advocate for equity-deserving communities and
  promote a deeper understanding of Canada's true history.\n\n
