HIFIS (Homeless Individuals and Families Information System) 4.0 is a federally created system, implemented by the Government of British Columbia and BC Housing. It is an information management and sharing system, enabling different shelter and outreach sites to work collaboratively and reducing duplicate client records. HIFIS training is required for shelter and outreach workers employed by sites which receive BC Housing funding. This training is offered regularly by HSABC at a variety of locations throughout the province, year-round.
